‘Cube3 transform Liverpool Library into Football Fan Zone’

NO stranger to a challenging project, Cube3 has brought football harmony to Liverpool with the unveiling of the long anticipated football exhibition, ‘The Everton Collection’.
Officially launched in September, ‘Everlution: The Everton Collection’ is an exhibition that celebrates one of the world’s greatest collections of football club memorabilia. Hosted in the grand Picton Reading Room within Liverpool Central Library, the exhibition headlines a handpicked selection of the most precious of the18,000 items that have been carefully cataloged and recorded for visitors to reminisce and debate over.
Having completed numerous high profile exhibitions in the last 12 months, integrated marketing specialists Cube3 had to pull together all their experience and resources to meet the challenge of creating the complete exhibition solution on behalf of The Everton Collection Charitable Trust.
Fulfilling a completely integrated exhibition proposition, Cube3 undertook the design, project management and procurement of the exhibition and created the brand, the exhibition design and build along with marketing learning packs to take the project out into the community.

The brand identity for the exhibition had to be something that encapsulated the theme of the exhibition and was equally identifiable for the general public. The creative’s at Cube3 decided on ‘Everlution’; a timeless interpretation of football firsts.
The most prolific of these include Everton FC as; the first Club on Merseyside to win an FA Cup Final, the first Club to use football nets, the first Club to wear numbered shirts 1 – 11, and the first Club to win the Championships on 2 different grounds – the list is endless!
The biggest challenge for Cube3 was the sheer scale of the venue and the fact that after 12 months exhibits would be required to go out on the road; therefore the exhibition fixtures needed to be totally flexible and mobile – another unique project challenge for the Cube team.
It was launched to the public on 25th September 2009 to great acclaim, with over 25,000 people visiting the website in day one. The interest within Liverpool was unprecedented and the fact that the exhibition celebrates football and not just Everton Football Club provides an insight into the history and development of our national sport. With an expected 150,000 visitors this year the exhibition provides a significant milestone for Cube3 in terms of their own evolution and has been a major achievement for everyone involved in the project.

Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Collection is owned by The Everton Collection Charitable Trust and chaired by Lord Grantchester; who was in attendance for the exhibition launch along with Everton legend and Collection patron, Joe Royle.
